I don’t know about you but I find that a little sparkle and shine always makes the festive holiday that bit more fun. And on Christmas day, I always find that more is more, so after breakfasting in loungewear (as one should be allowed to do) I celebrated the day in my favourite go-to party dress.
A black shift decorated in gold sequins, along with my favourite sandy suede wedge heels and trusty black opaques. Topped off with a peacock headband – green and gold are best festive friends after all; an angel pendant in coloured, stained glass that was a birthday present a few years ago, which I now wear each Christmas, and my hero vintage cardigan from a friend’s mother. Complete with gold Aztec print trim and lion head buttons for added pizzazz.
The shoes were discarded after lunch of course, but the outfit stayed put throughout the après feast film-fest, which goes to show a little glitz can go a long way in seeing out the day in style.
